Since it can include just about every “thing” we interact with on a day-to-day basis, the potential for new applications is boundless. In a largely uncharted category of technology, one thing is absolutely certain, that the world as we know it is changing.

Some of the Key Areas where Internet of Things would make a big impact are Smart Homes, Small scale and Large scale Industries, Healthcare Sector and Smart Cities.

Any device in your home that uses electricity can be put on your home network and at your command. Whether you give that command by voice, remote control, tablet or smartphone, the home reacts. Most applications relate to lighting, home security, home theater and entertainment, and thermostat regulation. The Internet of Things is a phrase that refers to the objects and products that are interconnected and identifiable through digital networks. This web-like sprawl of products is getting bigger and better every day. All of the electronics in your home are fair game for this tech revolution, from your fridge to your furnace.

A Smart City is an urban development vision to integrate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Internet of Things (IoT) technology in a secure fashion to manage a city’s assets. These assets include local departments’ information systems, schools, libraries, transportation systems, hospitals, power plants, water supply networks, waste management, law enforcement, and other community services. A smart city is promoted to use urban informatics and technology to improve the efficiency of services. ICT allows city officials to interact directly with the community and the city infrastructure and to monitor what is happening in the city, how the city is evolving, and how to enable a better quality of life. Through the use of sensors integrated with real-time monitoring systems, data are collected from citizens and devices – then processed and analyzed. The information and knowledge gathered are keys to tackling inefficiency.

The above mentioned is a brief about the Internet of things and its applications in our day to day Lives. When we look into the Future, Things that we daily use are going to be mechanized completely. People these days want everything in the Tip of their Finger to get things done easily. This would basically make the Lives easier for everyone.

Watch this space for more Information on the Latest Trend in  Technology.

[10,40,7
32,18
post-163","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-iot","category-smart-home","category-techtrends","tag-smart","tag-technology
["GET
